Building Bridges - An Outreach Program

Union Thanksgivng Service
7:30 PM - First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany
Each year, Congregation Beth Emeth, Trinity United Methodist Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church and the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany gather for a joint Thanksgiving service. Trinity, Westminster and FUSA (only one U in those days) all had fires that burned our buildings at different times at the beginning of the 20th century. While they were being repaired, we all worshiped at Congregation Beth Emeth's building. When our buildings were rebuilt, we began the tradition of having this joint service. This year, our theme speaker will be Joseph Bruchac, a native of the Abenaki people. In music, story and poetry, he will share with us a Native American perspective on the value of giving thanks. Please also bring canned goods for the Focus Food Pantry as your offering.
